Creating a Brighter World

Welcome to ‘New Eden’: Art for a Better World

“New Eden” is the first painting in my “Eden” collection which I’m launching on 1st Sept 2026 and I’m so excited to share it with you!

I usually don’t have a concept or theme in mind when I start creating, I just put pen or brush to canvas and see where it takes me.

In this case, once I’d finished the piece I channelled a poem and this was the key to understanding its meaning. (read below)

“New Eden” is imagining what life could be like if we had the opportunity to start again from scratch and create a better world founded on equality and love, where we would all be compassionate and caring towards each other and Mother Earth.

I don’t know how many paintings will be in the finished collection but each one will be accompanied by a poem.

I took the painting out into the garden to photograph it because I think it looks best when the sun is shining on it.

My plan is to release limited edition prints of each painting when I launch the full collection.

New Eden

In the beginning there was sunshine yellow

And a jolly fellow

Who sprang forth from a seed in a meadow

Of flamingo feather and honey mead

Free from tyranny, villainy, greed.

No “weeds”

Just needs

Of creativity,

Peace, Joy, compassion

Hearts to fill

And Art to fashion

Utopia

It’s dope yeah

Come cry and laugh

Won’t provoke ya

Just sit right down in this yoke

Well,

Living is easy

When we’re all humble folk

Vibrant song in our ears

And light in our eyes

From the roots to the skies

Love multiplies

A breathing patchwork

Of rainbow dimensions

All tensions dissolve when

Humanity’s mentioned.

Creatures that feature

In field, flight and fallow

Deep in the water

Or snug in the burrow

Opening, bending

Unfolding, mending

Infinity gardens

Planting, tending.

In the beginning the sun set the tone

But everything after we’ve weaved on our own.
